PUEBLO – Students and parents on Pueblo’s east side are getting a little extra help securing school supplies for the new year.
Risley International School hosted a end-of-summer celebration with a community fair on Friday, put on by the school’s booster club.
Hundreds of people came out to participate as booths handed out free school supplies.
Dawn Yengich, who works as Health Solutions Marketer and Public Relations Director for the booster club says, “Its hard for families to budget for school supplies. It is really expensive so we thought we could help out as much as we could.”
The booster club says it is still collecting supplies to give to other east side schools.
