130 soldiers deployed in February to return to Fort Carson

FORT CARSON — Fort Carson is having a homecoming ceremony on post to welcome home soldiers Tuesday morning.

Fort Carson officials said 130 soldiers from the 183rd Support Maintenance Company, 4th Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, will be returning from the Middle East.

The soldiers were deployed in February to the Central Command area of operations. They provided maintenance support to coalition forces who conducted train, advise and assist operations that allowed Iraqi National Defense and Security Forces to increase security. It also enable them to increase security, stability, and prevent terrorist safe havens.

The ceremony is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at the post.
