For the first time since the Waldo Canyon Fire, the Pikes Peak Community Foundation Emergency Relief Fund has been activated, along with the United Way, for emergency help for our community.
They're taking donations as well as seeking philanthropic support.
They say this crisis is different than rebuilding after a fire.
"What makes this particular emergency different is that it's actually impacting the entire community. It's impacting individuals, families, businesses, kids," said Gary Butterworth from the Pikes Peak Community Foundation.
If you can help, the foundation asks that you support non-profits and the fund by visiting ppcf.org.
