COLORADO SPRINGS — El Paso County Public Health Department is now asking members of Charis Christian Center to monitor for symptoms of the Coronavirus.

The announcement comes after one person associated with the church tested positive for COVID-19, and several others reported experiencing symptoms.

The department has identified one confirmed COVID-19 case and said in a press release other people associated with the church say they've experiencing symptoms since July 19.

The department explained it hasn't been able to establish who or how many people are affected or if they have been tested. However, it is recommending anyone who may have been exposed to self-quarantine, and anyone who is ill to notify church leadership and get tested.

Anyone who has visited this facility who has questions, or would like to report a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, can call the department's Communicable Disease Program at (719) 578-3220.
