PUEBLO — While the COVID-19 crisis has canceled multiple sporting events and activities, there is one sport you can still play, golf.
The Links in Pueblo reopened on Monday, but the cold winter weather has kept most people away. The better weather is bringing folks out to the Elmwood Golf Course, where the greens were kept busy with golfers wanting to hit the ball around while practicing social distancing.
"It's nice to be back and open," said Randall Bregar, Golf Pro Manager. "It's nice to see the golfers out here, unfortunately it's not as many golfers as we would like to have or have to capacity right now due to the restrictions, which is understandable."
Golf Courses open in Pueblo and Colorado Springs have restrictions in place to limit contact, including having to set tee times online and 15 minutes apart.
Also, when hitting the links, you might notice the lack of golf carts, so get ready to get your steps in along with other restrictions on the fairway.
