BRECKENRIDGE – The huge wooden troll that once stood guard next to a Breckenridge Trail has a new home.
Isak Heartstone is coming back to life, this time in a new location near the skating rink.
The troll, made of recycled goods, brought so much attention last year it had to be taken down due to concerns about traffic and trash.
But the town and the neighborhood came to an agreement and now the artist who originally built Isak is back.
“It was sad that they had to take it down, but then the best thing is that I got to come back here and make it one more time in a new location,” said Thomas Dambo, Isak’s creator.
The troll will keep the same name but he’ll look a little different. No word on when it will be done and ready to greet a new batch of visitors.
