FEDERAL HEIGHTS – The Christmas in Color Holiday lights display will open Friday at the Water World theme park north of Denver.

The display allows people to drive through a display while listening to holiday music on their radios synchronized with the 1.5 million lights. Guests will also receive 3D glasses.

“You’ll drive by giant candy canes, snowmen, arched pathways and more. It’s like being immersed in another world,” described the Christmas in Color website.

Tickets are $25 per vehicle Monday through Thursday, and that price increases to $30 on Friday and Saturday and in the five days before Christmas. Tickets are available for 30-minute windows to drive through the mile-long display. If you plan on going at a busy time, you should purchase tickets in advance.

The display is open Monday through Saturday until the end of the year. It will not be open on Christmas Day.
