COLORADO SPRINGS – Balloons took to the skies for the 42nd Labor Day Lift Off at Memorial Park Saturday morning.
Some of the balloons will even make a splashdown on the surface of Prospect Lake. Then at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night, the “Balloon Glow” takes place, where all of the balloons are lit up from the inside.
The event has been a special part of the community for the last 42-years. There are 78-balloons taking part in the event this year, with some of the best pilots from across the country.
