Blodgett Peak Open SpaceCOLORADO SPRINGS – Exciting news for outdoors enthusiasts in Colorado Springs as more trails and parking is in the future for two popular hiking spots.

Money from the voter-approved Trails, Open Space and Parks tax was recently used to purchase two pieces of land to expand Blodgett Peak Open Space and Corral Bluffs Open Space.

Susan Davies with the Trails and Open Space Coalition says with our region’s growing population, these purchases are a necessity.

Davies says the expansion of Corral Bluffs will fill the gap between that open space and the currently closed Jimmy Camp Creek Park, meaning it may finally be able to open in the near future.
