CRIPPLE CREEK – The end of August is going to be very busy for the city of Cripple Creek.

The city plans on doing their large fireworks show on Saturday, August 25th, at 10:00 p.m. The show is to make up for postponing the 4th of July show that was canceled due to the High Chateau Fire and the Fire Ban.

The Cripple Creek Fireworks display is one of the largest displays in the state.

Also taking place on August 24th-26th, Cripple Creek is hosting the Summer Smash Battle of the Bands Regional Finals in the Brass Ass Parking Lot.

On top of that, a Gem and Mineral show will be taking place from August 24-26th, next to the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railway.
