Tonight’s Forecast:

Mostly clear tonight as showers come to an end after sunset.  Temperatures will fall back into the lower and mid 40s.  Monday will start off with patchy fog along the I-25 corridor and will quickly burn off by 9am.  Sunshine will once again give way to developing clouds in the mountains.  They will roll off onto I-25 and the plains by the afternoon, but will be only isolated and light in nature.  A stronger chance exists once again along and East of the Kansas border.  Highs into the mid and upper 70s with 80s out on the Plains.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 76; Low – 46. Morning fog, afternoon sun, slight chance of a shower.

PUEBLO: High – 81; Low – 48.  Morning fog, afternoon sun, slight chance of a shower.

CANON CITY: High – 78; Low – 46. Morning fog, afternoon sun, slight chance of a shower.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 66; Low – 36. Sunny with increasing clouds and a slight chance for an afternoon shower.

TRI-LAKES: High – 60s; Low – 40s. Sunny with increasing clouds and a slight chance for an afternoon shower.

PLAINS: High – 70/80s; Low – 40s. Morning fog, afternoon sun, slight chance of a shower.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 70s; Low – 40s. Sunny with increasing clouds and a slight chance for an afternoon shower.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:

Monday night, a cold front approaches from the North.  It’s slow to make its way into Southern Colorado, but will get here during the day on Tuesday.  We should be able to squeeze out another day of seasonal highs in the 60s for the Pikes Peak region with 70s for Pueblo and SE Colorado.  From Tuesday-Thursday, the chance for showers and thunderstorms will be with us under mostly cloudy to overcast skies.  By Friday, another system approaches from the south and clears out our skies, but keeps us cool through next weekend.
