Today’s Forecast:

Generally tranquil conditions around Southern Colorado today.  We’re getting into that spring/summer time pattern of morning sunshine, afternoon clouds, and a chance for a shower or thunderstorm.  That will be the case today as clouds will billow in the mountains and produce high-based showers.  The Pikes Peak Region sees the best chance of something rolling off the mountains, but otherwise, it will be dry and partly cloudy.  Highs today near 70.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 73; Low – 44. Sunny skies with afternoon clouds, slight chance of a shower.

PUEBLO: High – 80; Low – 45.  Mostly sunny skies and pleasant with light winds.

CANON CITY: High – 76; Low – 46. Mostly sunny skies and pleasant with light winds.

WOODLAND PARK: High – 64; Low – 36. Sunny skies with afternoon clouds, slight chance of a shower.

TRI-LAKES: High – 60s; Low – 40s. Sunny skies with afternoon clouds, slight chance of a shower.

PLAINS: High – 70/80s; Low – 40s. Mostly sunny skies and pleasant with light winds.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 70s; Low – 40s. Sunny skies with afternoon clouds, slight chance of a shower.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:

Monday will be the last chance at 70+ degree weather for a while.  On Monday night, a cold front approaches the Palmer Divide, bringing the chance for rain from Tuesday-Friday under overcast skies and cooler temps.  Highs will struggle to get out of the 50s with maybe even a chance for a mix of rain and snow come Thursday morning.
