PARIS – Singer Chris Brown has filed a defamation lawsuit in France against a woman who alleged he and two other men raped her inside a Paris hotel room earlier this month.
Franck Serfati, the lawyer representing the woman who filed the rape complaint, says she was forced to take cocaine and was raped four times during a drug-fueled party.
Brown’s legal representative in France, Raphael Chiche, didn’t immediately respond to several calls and messages seeking comment.
Brown and the two other men were arrested in France Tuesday on allegations of rape and drug violations. Authorities questioned Brown and the others before releasing them from custody hours later with no charges.
Prosecutors in Paris say the investigation is still on-going.
The singer has called the allegations against him false.
