Summary: A bubble of Polar High Pressure keeps skies clear tonight through midday Sunday, and then fades away, east. A serious Arctic Front plows through Sunday night while we sleep, and temps never recover at all Monday. Snow showers break out after midnight, and continue through New Years Eve. Expect some accumulation of light, fluffy snow all day Monday. It peters out at night, and New Years looks bright, but bitterly cold,  like Friday was.
