Berreth family taking personal time: thanks everyone for their support

Posted

WOODLAND PARK – A recent post on the “Missing – Our – Kelsey Berreth” page indicates that Kelsey’s family is taking a break from social media.

“We are going to take a break… (Effective Dec. 30th) …and will be muting all new comments on Kelsey’s page.

Kelsey’s disappearance has gained national attention and the page created by the family to assist in finding their daughter has 24/7 activity from concerned followers.

The post goes on to say:

“You might hear from us on occasion but we are taking some ‘Personal Time.’ It is not because we do not value what you have to say, but that we have nothing new to share outside of what official information is being given us.”

The family, saying that it has been an “exhausting and emotional time,” encourages those who want to stay updated to follow the Woodland Park Police Department’s Facebook page.

A statement attached to the most recent post, gives an idea of how much the outpouring of support from the community has meant to the family:

“So many of you have been so generous with your thoughts, prayers, kind words, encouragement, offers to give help, offers for resources, offers to help search, donation, advice, expertise, and most of all… empathetic love. Through this time we are finding a renewed bond with each other, a greater sense of community, and a desire to live for something so much better.”
