COLORADO SPRINGS – As of December 27th, there’s been an arrest in the case of a young Colorado Springs woman who was paralyzed after a crash at Bijou and Circle in Colorado Springs last January.

Police say the crash was the result of a drug deal gone bad.

The prime suspect, Preston Bailey was being chased, ran a red light, and smashed in to a vehicle driven by Brittany Barker who was paralyzed.

Since the accident Bailey failed to appear in court and was on the run from police.

The barker family now tells News 5 that they’ve been recently contacted by a victim’s advocate who confirms Bailey is now in custody.

He faces multiple charges including aggravated robbery, auto theft and felony menacing.
Bailey is expected to be in court on January 10th.
