Robbery foiled after clerk refuses to hand over cash

COLORADO SPRINGS – Friday night at about 10:30, CSPD officers from the Falcon Division responded to a burglary in progress at a business in the 2700 block of N. Nevada Ave.

CSPD said their investigation revealed that one suspect entered the business and demanded the employee open the cash register.

The clerk refused to open the register and the unarmed suspect left the business empty-handed.

The suspect was seen leaving the business heading southbound on foot. Officer searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

No injuries were reported and no weapon was used in the attempted robbery.

CSPD said the suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and a mask over his face. He was described as a white male, approximately 5’10”, with a thin build.
