COLORADO SPRINGS – Around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, CSPD officers were dispatched to the 600 block of William Ave. for a family disturbance.

CSPD said that while on their way to the scene, officers learned that a 42-year-old male was “hanging” in the backyard of the residence. Officers responded with lights and sirens to the address and found a man under a clothesline pole.

CSPD said the man’s wife had cut the line and he was not breathing.

Officers immediately began chest compressions that were continued by CSFD and AMR when they arrived on the scene.

According to CSPD, after several minutes of life-saving efforts, the man’s heart rate and pulse returned. He was then transported to Memorial Hospital and continued receiving medical treatment.

CSPD said no criminal charges were pressed during the initial investigation into the incident.
