LAS ANIMAS – The Bent County Sheriff’s Office is looking to question seven people about a shooting early Monday morning in Las Animas.
Deputies are looking for 39-year-old Anthony E. Valdez, 22-year-old Freddy A. Whatley III, 38-year-old Jason E. Ramirez, 25-year-old Dawnell S. Wooters, 26-year-old Andrew T. Martinez, 34-year-old Carlos R. Martinez and 34-year-old Ashley R. Trujillo.
Deputies said they want to question the suspects about the shooting of 40-year-old Ruthann Mondragon off of Poplar Street around 1:24 a.m. Monday.
The Sheriff’s Office said Valdez, Martinez and Trujillo have multiple felony warrants. Deputies said Whatley III has one felony warrant.
Deputies caution that people should not approach any of these individuals and should call 719-456-1363 if you know where they are.
