FOUNTAIN – A wanted fugitive was taken into custody after he was found hiding in the back of a home in Fountain Wednesday.
Fountain Police Department’s Rapid Response Team executed a search warrant in the 800 block of S Santa Fe Ave at 10:30 a.m. Officers were looking for 49-year-old Jerry Rossell, a wanted fugitive.
Police said drones were used to conduct the search and Rossell was found by K9 Phoenix hiding in the back of the home. He then gave up without incident.
Rossell was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on outstanding warrants including Failure to Appear, Robbery, Kidnapping, Second Degree Assault, Controlled Substance Violations and Habitual Criminal.
