FREMONT COUNTY – Two men were arrested after they attempted to flee from deputies Wednesday.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said deputies noticed some suspicious activity in the area of May Street and Knob Ave in Rockvale just before 7 a.m. Deputies said two men were seen in a black truck, but when officers attempted to make contact with them, they got out and ran.

Deputies and officers then learned there was a man running through a drainage area north of where the truck was found. Deputies were able to identify the man, 29-year-old Troy Jordan, and chased him through a field.

He was then tased and taken into custody without further incident, the sheriff’s office said.

Both suspects were taken into custody and are being held at the Fremont County Jail. The truck was reported stolen out of Florence and and the license plate was reported stolen out of Castle Rock.
