The five-dollar foot-long sandwich at Subway may be a thing of the past soon. CEO Trevor Haynes reportedly told individual franchise owners that they can choose whether or not to offer the popular deal.
Changes to the menu can be seen in some places this month.
The special deal was off the menu in some places for years when Subway brought it back last winter. Many of the franchisees weren’t happy about it.
They complained about the narrow profit margin that came with the deal. The chain is pushing franchise owners to experiment with their own value deals based on business costs.
