DENVER – A 43-year-old man pleaded guilty to stalking and interstate communications after taking online pornographic images resembling college students and uploading them online alongside their own photos.

43-year-old Eric Ronald Bolduan of Minnesota pleaded guilty to the crimes Thursday. According to court documents, Bolduan would download images of the victims targeted, few of which were current and former students from Colorado colleges, from a number of public and social networking sites.

Bolduan would then find pornographic images that resembled the victims online and upload them alongside the victim’s photos. He uploaded the photos including the pornographic images to multiple porn websites, documents said.

Bolduan would reportedly include the victim’s name, contact information and school in the uploaded images. The photos were used to depict women involved in pornographic and promiscuous behaviors, prosecutors said.

The victims, family, friends, teammates, and professors would receive emails of the pornographic images from Bolduan, as he would threaten the victim saying he was stalking them and would plan to rape, torture, and kill them.

The suspect was first charged in October 2017, then indicted by a federal grand jury in Denver. He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 29, 2018.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
