PUEBLO – A Pueblo man has been arrested for robbery after officers found evidence linking him to the crime hidden in his home.

Pueblo Police officers responded to the reported armed robbery at 2102 Norwood Ave around 5 p.m. Tuesday. A perimeter was set up in the area after officers saw the suspect running from the scene.

A police drone was used to get an aerial view of the scene. A person then told officers the suspect was seen running into a house in the 1500 block of Constitution Road.

Officers were able to make contact with a number of people inside the home, eventually arresting the suspect, later identified as 25-year-old Jerry Trujillo.

Upon executing a search warrant of the home, evidence was found hidden in the home connecting Trujillo to the crime. Police said a handgun, clothing used by the suspect and stolen money was found.

Trujillo was booked into the Pueblo County Detention Center for Aggravated Robbery.
