(TSA) A quick-thinking security officer was caught on camera preventing a major mishap at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.
In the newly-released video from July 20, you can see a passenger at a checkpoint notice smoke coming from a piece of luggage and yelling out for help.
That’s when lead TSA Officer Darrell Wade grabs the bag and takes it to a safe area outside of the terminal.
Wade notified local law enforcement officers who quickly responded and determined the item was a vape battery that malfunctioned.
