This evening’s Colorado Springs Philharmonic event in Woodland Park will not take place due to concerns about rain and possible severe weather.
The free Symphony Above the Clouds was scheduled to take place at the Woodland Park Middle School athletic field this evening.
A statement from the organization states "safety of our musicians and audiences is always of the Philharmonic’s upmost concern."
The scope of the event was already dialed down before today’s announcement as the fireworks display was cancelled due to fire dangers.
