Monday Evening Weather: Getting More Active

    Monday, July 24 2017 7:09 PM EDT2017-07-24 23:09:27 GMT
Just a small chance for a stray shower or storm this evening with most activity focused over the higher elevations to our west where the most abundant monsoon moisture is currently located. Clouds and rain continue to our west overnight with some cloud cover flirting with the I-25 corridor. Lows will be in the 50's and 60's. Tuesday will have more cloud cover with slightly more widespread shower/storm activity as more moisture moves into the area. Heavy rain will be possible wher...

Monday Weather: Warm & Mostly Dry

    Monday, July 24 2017 12:59 PM EDT2017-07-24 16:59:48 GMT

The heat has relaxed a bit, but we will still be hot today. High temperatures will be in the 80s and 90s -- near 87 in Colorado Springs and 95 in Pueblo. Higher elevations around Woodland Park and Monument will warm to the upper 70s and lower 80s. Rain shifts to our west again today. It will focus mainly from southwestern Colorado to Arizona and western New Mexico. High pressure over northern New Mexico will keep us mainly dry across Southeastern Colorado. Just enough moisture i...

First Alert 5 Forecast: Continued Wet Monsoon Pattern This Week

    Sunday, July 23 2017 4:56 PM EDT2017-07-23 20:56:33 GMT

It's tough to say the weekend has been drier, because even though we did see less rain across much of the Pikes Peak area, those who saw rain got soaked! We are going to keep scattered thunderstorms going through the area tonight and while the bulk of storms will stay west of the interstate into the high country, a few storms could easily cross over towards Colorado Springs, Canon City, and hopefully Pueblo.

Skies will be a little drier and brighter today with more sunshine than we saw yesterday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop for the mountains later today. Some of those will likely have heavy rain and flooding potential. Just a small chance for a stray shower or storm for the lower elevations. Highs will be in the 80's and 90's today. Mainly clear tonight with lows in the 50's and 60's. Slightly more moisture moves in for the work week with better chances for showers and storms ...
