A ’94 Honda Civic was traveling westbound when it began to drift off the right side of the road. The driver, 30-year-old Jay Dickson, overcorrected and caused the car to spin. The car collided with a utility pole and all four occupants were ejected.

Dickson, of Peyton, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The front passenger, 48-year-old Richard McManus, of Peyton, was ejected but suffered only minor injuries.

The right, rear passenger, 45-year-old William Huston, of Peyton, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The left, rear passenger, 37-year-old James Jones, of Colorado Springs, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

CSP said alcohol and excessive speed are being considered factors in the crash, but the crash remains under investigation.
