Spring Fire: How you can help

As of Wednesday, the Spring Fire has burned nearly 100,000 acres, making it the third largest wildfire in Colorado history. 

The massive fire has burned at least 135 structures, and crews have not been able to assess the entire burn area due to dangerous conditions.

Fortunately, there are ways you can help first responders and residents affected by the fire. 

Cash, checks and credit card donations can be sent to the following organizations/locations:

The Spanish Peaks Community Foundation is accepting donations at two First National Bank locations in southern Colorado

  • Trinidad Location: 100 E. Main St. Trinidad, CO 81082
  • Walsenburg Location: 135 W. 6th Street Walsenburg, CO 81089
