A free ‘Summer Symphony and Fireworks’ celebration will be held at Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 4th. People can enjoy a variety of foods, a U.S. Air Force Academy Band’s Blue Steel Ensemble performance and Colorado Springs Philharmonic. Fort Carson and the 4th Infantry Division will be hosting a ‘Freedom Fest Friday’ from June 29 through July 1 at Iron Horse Park. The three-day event is open to the public Friday and Sunday, but Saturday will be reserved for Department of Defense ID holders and their guests. The holiday will be celebrated from 3-11:30 p.m. with a carnival, live music, food and merchandise. A live fireworks show will conclude the event Sunday at 9:15 p.m. For more information, click here.
