Last Sunday’s hailstorm temporarily closed the Green Mountain Falls community pool. Pool staff says ping pong sized hail damaged trees, shrubs and the pool’s fiberglass awning, all of which are now littering the bottom of the pool with debris.
The staff says the storm damage will ruin their summer tourism revenue while everything is being cleaned up. The pool had to be closed and drained so the debris could be removed. Once it’s cleaned up, they have to refill the pool and then heat it.
They say the process will take several days, but they are doing everything possible to have the pool open and ready to go in time for July 4th.
