Saturday morning, Colorado Springs Police are investigating a shooting on the west side of town.
The shooting happened near 8th Street and Cheyenne Blvd. Police said the incident is somehow connected to a single vehicle rollover crash that was discovered on Gold Camp Road.
The man who was shot was transported to a local hospital Saturday morning, but has succumbed to his injuries.
We do not know the timeline of the shooting yet, just that it happened sometime Friday night or in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The CSPD Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
