Police said a victim was shot during a disturbance at the intersection of S Academy Boulevard and S Chelton Road early Sunday morning.
Colorado Springs Police officers were dispatched to a parking lot at the intersection at 1:30 a.m. on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers said they found one car that had a bullet hole in the front windshield with several shell casings in the parking lot.
During their investigation, it was discovered that a victim with a gunshot wound had been transported to a local hospital. Police said the victim sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
There is no suspect information available at this time.
