The U.S. scored the first 45 points and went on to beat Panama 118-26 on Monday night in the FIBA Americas U18 Championship.
The Americans led 43-0 after the first quarter and got the opening basket of the second before John Gunn got Panama on the board on a follow shot with 7:57 remaining in the first half.
The U.S. led 70-8 at halftime.
Coached by Kansas coach Bill Self, the Americans are 2-0 in the tournament after beating the Dominican Republic 105-73 in their opener. They are trying for their fifth straight gold medal in the event.
