Driver dies from injuries after crashing into home in Colorado Springs

The driver of a car that crashed into a home in Colorado Springs died from her injuries Tuesday, according to police. 

81-year-old Anna Kilmer crashed into a home at the intersection of Dublin Boulevard and Lemonwood Drive Monday morning. Colorado Springs Police say Kilmer was trapped in the car and had to be extricated.

She was transported to an area hospital with what firefighters said to be non-life threatening injuries. Police updated Wednesday that she succumbed to her injuries and died Tuesday, according to a release.

An autopsy will be performed by the El Paso County Coroner. This is the 19th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year.
