Westbound Woodmen Road at I-25 will remain closed Wednesday for water main repairs.
Colorado Springs Utilities said they hope to have the southbound I-25 turn lanes open by Wednesday night but westbound through lanes on Woodmen are expected to remain closed through Saturday.
The closure began early Sunday morning when water began bubbling up through cracks on Woodmen, eventually making those cracks wider and real issue.
If you need to access southbound I-25, you may want to take Academy Blvd. as an alternate route. The ramp from westbound Woodmen to northbound I-25 is unaffected, but delays due to the lane closure may cause extended delays. It’s best to just avoid the area.
