Two climbers are dead after falling from the Freeblast Route on El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.

One of the climbers has been identified as 46-year-old Jason Wells of Boulder, Colorado. The other climber, 32-year-old Tim Klein of Palmdale, California.

Rangers said they received multiple 911 calls about the incident. The investigation into what caused the fall is ongoing.

The incident marks the second deadly incident in Yosemite National Park in a little over a week. A hiker fell to his death in rainy conditions last week while climbing the iconic granite cliffs of Half Dome.
