What you need to know: Directions and rules for Kelly Clarkson concert at Air Force Academy

If you’re planning to attend the free Kelly Clarkson concert at the US Air Force Academy to kickoff the Warrior Games, here’s what you need to know:

GETTING TO THE OPENING CEREMONY:

Both the North and South Gate to the Air Force Academy will be open to inbound traffic from 3-8 pm. After 8 pm, fans may only enter through the North Gate. Exit from the Base following the Opening Ceremony will be allowed through both gates.

UBER/LYFT/RIDESHARE

Entrance only through the South Gate between 3 and 8 pm. After 8 pm, entrance only through the North Gate.

  • This event is a FREE Show, but tickets are required for entryTickets may not be resold. If you order tickets but find you cannot attend, PLEASE give them to others to enjoy. Let’s show our Warrior Athletes and families a full stadium for this kick-off celebration concert!

  • No tickets available on-site aside from pre-arranged will call. ID is required to pick-up will call tickets. Lost tickets CAN NOT be reprinted on-site.

  • Ceremony will be at the Air Force Academy Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs.

  • All spectators may enter through either the North Gate or South Gate of the Air Force Academy. Both Gates open at 3pm for Ceremony ticket holders. For directions to Falcon Stadium, click here.

  • Parking is FREE and lots open at 3pm.

  • Those needing handicap parking, please follow signs. Shuttle is available from handicap parking to stadium.

  • Tailgating is allowed BEFORE the ceremony. After the ceremony, parking lots will be cleared as quickly as possible in preparation for a busy competition schedule the next day.

  • RV entry is permitted in specified areas, parking staff will direct you.

  • Stadium doors open at 5pm. Please be in your seats for the pre-ceremony concert starting at 6pm.

  • Stadium Food and Beverage concession stands will be open.

PROHIBITED ITEMS IN FALCON STADIUM:

  • Marijuana is an illegal substance on Federal property

  • No Smoking or Tobacco of any kind—(this includes vape devices and e-cigarettes)

  • Weapons or dangerous objects of any type

  • Alcohol, glass containers, bottles/cans, aerosol sprays, hard sided (or Nalgene) plastic bottles

  • No hand bags larger than (12” x 12” x 12”). No hard-sided containers, or coolers

  • No backpacks to include bota bags, wine-skins, and camelbacks

  • Laser pointers, fireworks, or any item deemed unsafe by security personnel

  • Any unapproved Banners/Signs (No signs larger than 18” x 24”)

  • PETS: (Other than ADA Compliant Service Animals)

  • No sticks, bats, poles, umbrellas, footballs, Frisbees, balls or inflatable balls

  • Artificial noisemakers of any kind

  • Baby seats, Large Strollers—–(Collapsible umbrella strollers are permitted)

  • Any item that cannot be readily inspected

  • No flash photography

  • No seatbacks wider than 19 inches (no excessive pockets or protruding arm rests)

FAN CODE OF CONDUCT:

The following behavior will not be tolerated and may lead to automatic ejection:

  • Behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal in nature.

  • Intoxication or signs of alcohol/substance impairment that results in irresponsible behavior.

  • Foul, obscene, offensive or abusive language, gestures or actions.

  • Interfering with the event or throwing any object onto the field or in the venue.

  • Fighting, or verbal/ physical harassment of other spectators.

  • Any action that threatens the safety of others.

  • Wearing of obscene or indecent clothing.
