Rainy, windy and downright miserable are all words you could use to describe the 2018 CHSAA State Track & Field Championships. However, no matter how bad the weather got, it couldn’t dampen the spirits of our Southern Colorado track stars vying for state titles.
Discovery Canyon’s Lauren Gale won three championships, including the 4A 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter, wrapping up her senior season on a high note before she heads for Colorado State next year.
From Pueblo, it was East’s Luc Andrada winning the 4A 100 meter and from Fountain-Fort Carson, Jalen Lyon took the top spot ontop of the podium for the 5A 400 meter and 200 meter.
