A man is in serious condition after an assault at a hotel near Pikes Peak Avenue and Printer’s Parkway Friday night.
Police were called to the hotel about shots being fired at a little after 11-o’clock. When they arrived, they found a suspect with a handgun and the victim injured.
Police say there was a struggle involving the weapon, but the victim was not shot. Detectives from the violent crimes unit are investigating what led up to the assault.
The name of the victim has not been released as of Saturday morning.
