There will be a closure along Ellicott Highway starting Monday, April 30 that will impact drivers for weeks.
Bridge deck replacement work will take place along Ellicott Highway between Scott Road and Speer Road and during that work no through traffic will be allowed. Crews predict the project will take about 12 weeks depending on the weather.
Drivers can use Scott, Guthrie and Speer Roads as detours during construction, however they are all gravel roads and require slower speeds.
El Paso County reports, funding for the project is provided through the El Paso County Road and Bridge fund.
