A crash into a support pillar of the U.S. Post Office in Fountain has force the closure of the building until engineers can check out the condition of the structure.

The postal service says all mail is safe as the damage to the building is just on the outside the building.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the collision. A photo shared by USPS shows a wooden support beam snapped from moorings in the concrete.

No one is allowed inside the building to reach the post office boxes or the retail counter.

Anyone in Fountain needing services can use the nearby facility in Security – 5755 Kittery Drive.
