The Colorado Department of Revenue has reported that all state and county Colorado driver license offices are currently unable to issue drive licenses.
Instruction permits and identification cards are also currently unavailable.
The department said they are unable to issue these documents due to an issue with the social security online verification system. This system allows the DMV to verify social security numbers in compliance with the REAL ID Act.
Online services are also unavailable at this time. The department said they are working to restore the services as soon as possible.
The department has not given an estimated time of when the services will be restored.
