5 Around Town: April 28th and 29th

Here are a few of the events going on for the last weekend of April.

Fine Arts Center

This is your last weekend to catch two different exhibits at the Fine Arts Center. Million Year Seeds and The Plain of High Heaven are both by Japanese artists and will end on Sunday. The museum will be open from 10 am to 7:30 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. General admission is $10. Find more information here.

Brew at the Zoo

The Pueblo Zoo will hold their 3rd annual Brew and the Zoo this Saturday. From 2 pm – 6 pm the zoo will have unlimited beer tasting from over 15 breweries, live music from 3 different bands, games, giveaways, food trucks, and, obviously, animals. Tickets will be $45 at the door until they sell out. Buy tickets here or at the Pueblo Zoo ticket booth.

Small Business Week – Food Truck Cook-Off

Sunday kicks off Small Business Week with the annual Food Truck Cook-Off. From 11:30 am to 3 pm food trucks will be competing at the Norris Penrose Event Center serving their best dishes. A $20 entrance fee will get you into the event, 8 sample tickets, a voting token, live music, and entertainment. Additional samples will be available for $1. Find more information and registerhere.

MS Walk Pueblo

Walk MS will come to Pueblo this weekend for their annual event to help end multiple sclerosis. The walk will start and finish at Pueblo Community College on Saturday. Registration starts at 7:30 am and the walk will begin at 9:30 am. There’s no fee to walk, but it is a fundraiser so raising donations is encouraged. Register and find more informationhere.
