Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Rocky Ford Rural Fire District brush truck that was responding to a structure fire Tuesday.
Troopers said the truck was traveling northbound on Highway 71 approaching Otero County Road CC when an unknown vehicle pulled out in front of them. The truck swerved to avoid the vehicle and rolled over two and a half times.
The vehicle was described as a red crossover type of SUV..
Firefighters inside the truck were taken to the Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center for treatment for their injuries. Troopers said they were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
