Satellite Images from the First Alert Weather Center and the National Weather Service show a large fire burning in northeastern Baca County Tuesday afternoon.
Strong winds in the area are pushing the fire to the northeast. The National Weather Service in Kansas said the fire is located about 7 miles east of the Kansas border between Walsh and Two Buttes.
Deputies have not yet told us the size of the fire and estimated containment.

It’s not yet known if structures are threatened and if there are any possible evacuation orders.
People in the area say the winds are blowing at a sustained 40 mph in the area, causing the fire to move very quickly.
