High winds are causing poor visibility in numerous counties across southern Colorado. The National Weather Service has issued a Dust Storm Warning in effect through 3:00 p.m. for parts of the San Luis Valley and Fremont County.
Wind gusts have been reported as high as 87 mph on Monarch Pass. Alamosa Airport reported gusts at 63 mph. The wind gusts at the summit of Pikes Peak are being clocked at 59 mph and 55 mph at the Air Force Academy.
