Our KOAA News5 Athlete of the Week is Jordyn Isner.
The junior for Palmer Ridge field hockey team is scorching the state this year.
She has 22 goals for the season, an astonishing stat for such a low scoring game, and something she never imagined the success she’s having so far.
"Last year I only had like six goals so I wasn’t expecting too much<," Isner said. "So when I came into the season, I was expecting to score more than last year but definitely didn’t think I was going to score this many."
The Bears finished the year as the top team in the state and the number one seed in the playoffs. defeating Regis Jesuit in the semifinals on Tuesday.
Palmer Ridge advanced to their fourth state title game since 2012 with the win.
