Our KOAA News5 Athlete of the Week is Efren Perez of Pueblo East High School.
The Eagle’s 3rd baseman is batting .290 so far and has two home runs to boot in the early spring season.
Perez is originally from Venezuela and loves his East Eagle teammates.
"I’m pretty happy to play this game, always happy, always having fun. I’m happy to play with my team because they do the best for me, my coach who is a good person with me and helps me a lot."
