COLORADO SPRINGS — There will soon be a new sign to welcome people into Colorado Springs.
Work has begun on the new gateway sign on the side of I-25 just south of the North Gate exict.
The new sign will prominately feature an olympic torch and show off Colorado Springs' status as "Olympic City USA".
The sign will also feature a patriotic color scheme with red, which and blue trim.
Funds for the new gateway sign were raised through private donations.
Look for it to be completed October 10th.
